Former President Barack Obama may be one of the coolest presidents we’ve ever had, and on top of that, he’s also one of the most lovably cheesy. As President of the United States, Obama was very much America’s dad, possessing a number of important parental qualities: wisdom, tough love, enthusiastic dance moves, and—arguably the most important dad quality—dad jokes.

Throughout his tenure at the White House, Obama was the king of cheesy dad jokes. From correspondents’ dinners to turkey pardoning ceremonies—especially turkey pardoning ceremonies—Obama dropped serious one-liners at every chance he got. He even promised a “corny-copia of dad jokes” during his last turkey pardon ceremony—and boy did he not disappoint.

In honor of President Obama’s 57th birthday on August 4th, here are some of his best dad jokes—and don’t worry, they’re not all Thanksgiving turkey pardon jokes:

1When he used his first White House Correspondents’ Dinner to call attention to Michelle’s enviable arms.

"She's even begun to bridge the differences that have divided us for so long," he told the crowd. "Because no matter which party you belong to, we can all agree that Michelle has the right to bare arms."

2During his final White House Correspondents’ dinner, he joked that Prince George broke protocol by meeting him in a monogrammed bathrobe.

"Last week Prince George showed up to our meeting in his bathrobe. That was a slap in the face. A clear breach of protocol."

3According to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Obama made the same cheesy joke before every dinner.

"'I hope you enjoy dinner, I’ve been cooking all day.'"

4When he compared a turkey to Vice President Joe Biden.

"Tater is here in a backup role just in case Tot can't fulfill his duties. So he's sort of like the vice turkey. We're working on getting him a pair of aviator glasses."

5When he returned to his formally dormant @barackobama Twitter handle with a solid mic check joke.

7When he couldn’t help but make a space joke when the Curiosity rover delivered his signature to Mars.

"Do I have to put on a British accent?"
