You can now rent from Anthropologie and Free People, so finding that perfect event outfit just got less stressful

The rise of clothing rental services has given shoppers a more sustainable, often more affordable way to wear the hottest trends without filling our closets with things we might only wear a few times. That’s why we’re especially stoked about new rental service Nuuly. It’s a monthly clothing subscription service that offers goodies from URBN, the parent company of Urban Outfitters, Free People, and Anthropologie, in addition to more than 1,000 other brands. This is so major.

The service is like a winning combination of Rent the Runway and Stitch Fix. For $88 a month, you can rent six items of your choice, which gives you the option to rent multiple sizes of one item in case you’re unsure about fit. At the end of the month, you ship the items back in garment bags made from recycled post-consumer plastic from oceans. Don’t worry about laundry, dry cleaning, or repairs—that’s included in the price.

It seems like there will be plenty of offerings from brands big and small, including unique vintage pieces. Plus, if you fall in love with something (or a few somethings), you’ll be given the opportunity to purchase the items at a discounted price. Sounds like a win-win all the way around.

Within a day of its launch, Nuuly has become so popular that there’s already a waitlist to join, but based on the selection available to peruse online, it seems fully worth the wait. Gone are the days of buying a dress only to wear it once or being stuck with a closet full of outfits that you don’t quite love anymore—all while helping to promote sustainability.
