Now You Can Go to Hogwarts in REAL LIFE (Sort Of)
I don’t know about you, but the year I turned 11, I was extremely upset when I didn’t receive a letter of acceptance from Hogwarts. There was no owl, no Hagrid informing me, “Yer a wizard, Gina!” Even though the Harry Potter series is made of paper and imagination, I secretly hoped the magical land of witchcraft and wizardry was real. And that I would be chosen as a magical pupil.
Alas, it was not meant to be. I carried on my regular life as a regular muggle, doing regular things like going to high-school, getting grounded, and definitely not defeating dark wizards and mystical creatures. It was such a bummer, but whatever.
In 2010, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter opened. Which is magnificent and exciting, but if you’re like me and don’t live in Florida, nor have the cash to take that kind of vacation, I’ve got amazing news for you. You can attend Hogwarts without even leaving your bed. For free.
The Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry has officially opened, and they have open enrollment! You don’t even have to wait until July 23rd to receive your acceptance letter, you can make one yourself right here. Frame it. Tack it on your wall. Be proud of who you are!
The Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is an online 9-week course where you can experience a bonafide Hogwarts education. You’re assigned a professor who teaches you the elements of potions, divination, study of ancient runes, and more. Oh, and you’re definitely not in this journey alone. At this Hogwarts, you can meet other witches and wizards online when you join a House dormitory. You’re able to gain access to the Hogwarts library, collect chocolate frog cars, earn galleons and house points, and open an account at Gringotts.
So, I know what I’m doing this summer: getting a degree from Hogwarts! I can put that on my resume, right?
