Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale is like summer’s version of Black Friday. Nordstrom cardholders and fellow deal-lovers flock to the weeks-long sale every year to take advantage of incredible discounts across fashion, beauty, home, accessories, and more.
For more than 50 years now, the department store has slashed prices on top brands and on-trend products including those from Madewell, Diptyque, Treasure & Bond, Nike, UGG, and tons more for a limited time. The once-a-year sale is perfect for stocking up on fall or even winter essentials, birthday or holiday gifts, beauty products, or just something you’ve been eyeing for yourself.
This year, the event is taking place a few weeks later due to the impact of COVID-19, but the deals will still be available both in stores (where available) and online, so you can opt to shop however you feel most comfortable. When is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2020?
The sale will be available to the public on Wednesday, August 19th, and it ends on Sunday, August 30th. However, just as in years past, Nordstrom cardholders (also known as members of the Nordy Club) get early access, depending on their status.
When does early access to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale start?
Nordstrom launched a special sneak peek of all sale items on Friday, July 24th, meaning you can start adding things to your wish list now—but unless you’re a cardholder, you won’t be able to shop just yet.
Early access dates are determined by each shoppers’ member status, which is based on how much money you spend per year at Nordstrom.
- Those with Icon Status, which is achieved by spending $15,000 per year with a Nordstrom credit card, will be able to shop starting Tuesday, August 4th;
- Those with Ambassador Status, which is achieved by spending $5,000 in a calendar year, will be able to shop starting Friday, August 7th;
- Those with Influencer Status, which is achieved by spending $2,000 in a year, will be able to shop starting Monday, August 10th;
- And those with Insider Status, which is achieved by spending $500 in a year OR by simply holding a Nordstrom credit card, can start shopping Thursday, August 13th.
