This little girl’s note makes a compelling case as to why there is no school today. We salute her.

Little Cara G. has got spunk and ingenuity that is going to take her pretty far in life, even if that means dodging school for one more week. 

Not quite done with the winter break, this little girl forged a letter from the “school compnay” that her mother then posted to Reddit with the title, “My daughter got the mail today (it’s Sunday), apparently they have another week off school.”

 The Very Official Letter states that school will be “taking a brake so the kids will have one more week of school left.” Just to make things super official, Cara signed her name in a bright blue marker and sealed it with an extremely legit pink Disney stamp.

Because her mom must be as cool as her daughter, she couldn’t let the bold attempt go unnoticed and took to the Internet to share her daughter’s creative entrepreneurship, and the Reddit-verse went wild.

Some commentors were really supportive of her efforts, saying, “The stamp really makes it legit. No stamp, I would have thought it was fake. One more week for sure,” and “Where’s the signature of President Principal Business?” Others wanted to give a well deserved shout out to her grammar, noting, “She knows the difference between there and their. I say legit.”

You can’t fault Cara for trying. Even the best of us had a hard time summoning the courage to go back to work today after being off for so long. Although Cara may have overshot her goal a little, you can’t blame a girl for trying.
