Parents-to-be Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder just announced their *big news* in the most heartfelt way
Congratulations are in order because Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder are expecting their first child!
The Twilight alum, 28, and long-term Vampire Diaries star, 38, both announced the news today through heartfelt Instagram posts. Our hearts are so full, and we’re so happy for this new family.
“How is it possible to love someone so much already?” Reed captioned her post. “All I know for sure is it’s the strongest feeling I’ve ever felt. We’ve been sharing this body for quite some time, and we’ve already experienced so much together.”
“This has been the most special time of our lives and we wanted to keep it between the three of us for as long as possible so we could enjoy this time with each other and our little one who is growing so fast,” Somerhalder captioned the same photo on his own page. “Because that’s what they do, they grow so fast.”
The couple wed two years ago, on April 26, 2015. The duo just recently posted the sweetest anniversary messages, and now imagine how much they’re going to gush over their new bundle of joy.
No word yet on whether the baby is a boy or a girl, but here’s to hoping that, given mom and pop’s acting credits, the baby will have a totally gothic, vampire-esque name — but nothing rubbish like Renesmee. Like, come on.
