Nicole Kidman’s love of nature-themed gowns continues with this leaf-covered dress
Afraid of a red carpet dare, Nicole Kidman is not. She’s one of those true style stars who gravitates towards daring designs that walk a risque line. And as of late, that risque line has been paved by nature-themed dresses. Now, Nicole doesn’t settle for your run-of-the-mill floral appliques or leopard prints. No, the seasoned red carpet veteran instead goes for couture, flora and fauna-clad confections. And in addition to wearing art that imitates real-life objects, she’s also ~giving~ us life.
Take the 2017 ACM Awards last night for example. The 49-year-old actress supported hubby Keith Urban in a truly spectacular Alexander McQueen gown, covered in said floral and fauna motifs.
Take a closer look, and you’ll see the champagne colored shell is decorated in beautiful, crystal panels that meticulously display foliage and animals alike. At first glance, we thought this emerald-hued look just showcased succulents. But upon further inspection, we saw it all: pretty peach blooms, blue vines, roosters, foxes, and more!
If you’re a big fan of Nicole’s red carpet style (like us), you’ll note this isn’t the first time she’s worn an animal-inspired get up this year.
Rewind to the SAG Awards back in January, and Nicole sent quite a few jaws dropping to the floor in a Gucci green sequin parrot dress. Say what you will about it, but it *was* truly unforgettable.
She went full on mother nature at the 2017 Palm Springs International Film Festival, looking like a true earthy goddess in Dior’s tarot dress.
Her love of earthy fashion predates 2017, though. For example, she donned another bird-festooned, Alexander McQueen number back in 2015, producing the same show-stopping effect.
Hmmm… we’ve always been a fan of florals and animal prints, but this proclivity towards forest themed fashion is next level for us. But thankfully, Nicole is here to show us ~exactly~ how to pull off this trend like an A-lister.
