Nick Viall is joining “Bachelor in Paradise” because maybe the third time is the charm

Omg, y’all. So, remember Nick Viall? He’s the guy who went on Andi Dorfman’s Bachelorette season, only to make it to the runner-up spot and be sent home. THEN, he came back for Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season of the same series to do the same. exact. thing. He was famously disliked by many of the guys on Kaitlyn’s season, including Shawn Booth, who is her fiance— not necessarily because he was a bad guy, but because he had a slight leg up on the rest of the competition.

The thing is, he and Kaitlyn had talked briefly before the show, which is exactly why he made a case for himself to come on in the first place – he thought they had chemistry, and wanted to come see if they had a shot. Nothing wrong with that, right?

Well, anyway, she ended up choosing Shawn, and in the long run, he left again empty-handed and heartbroken. Most people would hang up their reality TV hats after a track record like that, but not Nick — he’s just signed on to take his third chance at love with the franchise, this time on Bachelor in Paradise. Maybe he will have a little more luck in a place with fewer rules (and fewer clothes, because, y’know, the beach!).

Tbh, we’re kind of excited to see Nick again — he really isn’t a bad guy, and now that we know Chad will be there, basically anyone looks good. He’ll provide some welcome entertainment, and we really do want him to find love after all he’s been through. Good luck, Nick — we hope the third time is the charm!
