Nick Cannon is “Single Handedly Repopulating the Earth” As He Welcomes Baby #12

He also dished to Andy Cohen about whether he plans to get a vasectomy anytime soon.

And that makes a dozen. On. Dec. 14, 2022, Nick Cannon and model Alyssa Scott welcomed their second child together, marking baby number 12 for the TV personality.

December has been a trying month for the couple, who lost their 5-month-old son, Zen, to a brain tumor in December 2021. The pair’s newborn daughter, Halo Marie Cannon, was born just a few days after the anniversary of her big brother’s passing.

In a touching video montage posted to Instagram, Scott announced the birth of their daughter, noting Zen’s spirit was right there in the delivery room with them.

“December 14, 2022. Our lives are forever changed ❤️,” she wrote alongside the video. “Zen is in every breath I take. I know his spirit was with us in the room that morning. I know he is watching down on us. He shows me signs every day. I will hold onto this memory forever.”

Halo’s arrival was a sweet “surprise” for Scott, who forewent any sort of gender reveal during her pregnancy.

”I will remember the sound of Nick’s voice saying ‘it’s a girl’ and the look of everything we’ve been through flash across his face,” she recalled. “I will remember the sound of her crying out with her first breath and feeling her heartbeat against mine.”

She concluded: “My sweet girl, I got my surprise!! We love you Halo Marie Cannon! 🤍.”

This makes daughter number five for the multi-hyphenate. Halo is Scott’s third child.

During his virtual guest appearance on CNN’s New Year’ s Eve Live broadcast, Cannon was congratulated for “single handedly repopulating the earth” then grilled by host Andy Cohen about his growing brood of kids.

Of course, Cohen is just doing his job and asking the question on everyone’s mind, which is, “What is your endgame? Do you want to keep going or is there a number you want to hit?”

It wasn’t too big of a shocker to hear Cannon doesn’t have a plan — or plans to necessarily stop procreating anytime soon.

“Clearly I don’t have a plan,” he laughed in response. “It’s honestly just so much joy and so much elation to have the family that I have. I embrace and I love it. I don’t have a plan that should have been clear from the jump.”

When asked if a vasectomy was on the table, this is what Cannon had to say: “Is that what you want me to get?! This is my body, my choice!”

Clearly, Cannon isn’t ready to let go of the baby making magic just quite yet.
