Nick Cannon’s Baby Mama Drama Might Be Heating Up With Announcement of Baby #10

The news comes right on the heels of the birth of the star’s ninth child.

Congratulations to musician and TV personality and Nick Cannon, who recently welcomed his ninth child! And it looks like he’ll soon be a father of ten.

Onyx Ice Cole Cannon was born happy and healthy on September 14, 2022, to proud mama Lanisha Cole, a model living in California who has performed in music videos and also had a long career working on The Price is Right.

“Once again Today I am in Awe of the Devine Feminine!” Cannon announced on Instagram. “God has given me and @MissLanishaCole the privilege of hosting an Angel here on earth. I vow to protect, provide, guide and love this child to the best of my abilities.”

Sweet images and videos on Instagram Stories show Cannon and Cole smiling and joyful at the hospital as they share tender moments just after Onyx’s birth.

Cole’s Instagram page is filled with gorgeous pre-birth photos, but only when Onyx was born did she provide a glimpse as to who the father was. The host of The Masked Singer is usually open about any upcoming births, but for the pair’s own reasons, his role in the process was kept hush hush.

It may have something to do with another Cannon kiddo on the way.

Nick announced at the end of August that he’s expecting his third child with model Brittany Bell, who is also mother to five-year-old Golden Sagon and two-year-old Powerful Queen.

Bell’s new baby announcement comes on the heels of the birth of Legendary Love Cannon, who was born to model Bre Tiesi just this past July. Cannon also has two children with model and DJ De La Rosa, one surviving child with model Alyssa Scott (who gave birth to twins but unfortunately lost one of them to brain cancer at just five months) and his first two children with legendary singer Mariah Carey.

That’s a total of… nine children, with new baby Bell rounding out the Cannon kiddies to an even 10 next year.

The rapper’s virility has been the butt of jokes, especially since he’s announced his role as father to five of them in the past two years. Still, we give him credit for taking on additional dad duties. According to an interview with Men’s Health, Cannon seems super involved in all of his children’s lives, spending as much in-person time with them as he can and checking in with FaceTime phone calls when he can’t.

“As we all know I am not easily triggered and have quite tough skin and have always been an open book but not everyone in my family has that same level of strength,” he said in his post announcing Onyx’s birth. “So I pray and ask others to please project all criticism and cynicism towards ME and not the loving and precious Mothers of my children.”

“If you are truly concerned during this time of Spiritual Warfare, my inner struggles with self, mental wellness and physical health concerns,” he continues, “Just continue to pray for me and my entire family that God will grant us Peace that surpasses all Understanding.”

According to an article on Insider, Cannon has openly discussed the idea of going celibate, and is considering getting a vasectomy as well.

However things play out, he seems very happy to welcome another baby into the world. Who knows? With the skills he and his baby mamas have, a family band is not totally out of the question…
