This is the next book Emma Watson wants you to read

Even though she has an extremely busy professional life, Emma Watson still devotes time to recommending books as part of her feminist book club, Our Shared Shelf. We LOVE how she chooses celebrated female authors like Gloria Steinem and (graphic novelist) Marjane Satrapi, because discovering work by strong females is one of our favorite hobbies.

And today, Watson shared her latest recommendation via Instagram, and it’s Women Who Run with Wolves by American author and poet, Clarissa Pinkola Estés.

Posing next to the book, Watson’s expression is so perfect.  She’s most certainly “contacting the power of the wild woman.”

The author has a background in psychology, and like many of her books, this one is all about harnessing your “wild” self. And if you want to get involved with this feminist book club if you aren’t already, it’s super easy. Check out the Goodreads page for Our Shared Shelf, and you can join the group there.

via giphyYou can also go backwards and read some of their past books, like Eve Ensler’s famous The Vagina Monologues, or Maya Angelou’s Mom & Me & Mom. It’s an amazing place to get book recs if you’re looking for books that will expand your horizons and make you think — regardless of whether or not you end up reading along in the order of the rest of the club.

And remember, many of these books are available in audio versions, so if the thought of sitting down and reading a physical book isn’t that appealing, don’t worry. It’s totally legitimate to go the audio route.

Thanks for inspiring us with your book choices, Emma! We’re definitely gonna check this one out.
