Every so often, a book is written that readers everywhere, of just about every age, fall in love with — and sometimes, if we’re lucky, we get an equally wonderful film adaptation. Thankfully, Disney’s A Wrinkle in Time already looks like it could accomplish the latter, so we seriously need it to be March 9th, like, yesterday. The film adaptation of Madeleine L’Engle’s 1962 classic honestly looks amazing, and maybe even a bit scary? Because in the latest trailer for A Wrinkle in Time, Meg gets — oh no — sucked into the Darkness.
So, yeah, you might want to mentally and emotionally prepare yourself, because it’s bound to be an intense viewing.
, which is jam-packed with an all-star cast, has released a number of mind-blowing teasers and trailers to prepare audiences for the sure-to-be visual masterpiece coming their way. But the latest trailer, which focuses more on protagonist Meg (Storm Reid) and her journey to find her father, is truly something else.
The trailer opens with Reese Witherspoon’s character, Mrs. Who, welcoming Meg into a whole new world. “You must be Meg,” Mrs. Who says, to which Meg asks in wonderment, “How do you know my name?”
And if you’ve read the book, you know it’s a nonstop adventure after that.
Now, if you’ve never read the book and have no idea what I’m talking about… The story focuses on Meg, as she journeys through time and space to find her father (Chris Pine). Meg is accompanied by her friend, Calvin O’Keefe (Levi Miller), and they meet Mrs. Who, along with fellow mystical beings Mrs. Whatsit and Mrs. Which, played by Oprah Winfrey and Mindy Kaling, respectively — and go on one hell of a journey.
A Wrinkle In Time hits theaters on March 9th and from the latest trailer, that feels way too far away!
