Who is Aubrey O'Day, the singer linked to Donald Trump Jr.?
On the heels of the news that Donald Trump Jr. and longtime wife Vanessa Trump have separated, rumors are swirling that the president’s son once had an affair with former Danity Kane member Aubrey O’Day (though at this time that is all they are — rumors).
Sources are alleging that Trump Jr. and O’Day were romantically involved while O’Day was a contestant on Celebrity Apprentice in 2011. Following this report, fans of O’Day were quick to notice that the singer released a song titled”DJT” in 2013 (like maybe as in, Donald John Trump Jr.?). The O’Day song includes lyrics like, “You’re the only one who ever knew my heart.”
O’Day has been trending today in light of the speculation, prompting many to ask: Who is Aubrey O’Day?
The pop singer is now 34 years old. She was born in San Francisco, and she double majored in Political Science and Drama at the University of California Irvine. She didn’t enter the public eye until 2004, when she went on the MTV reality show Making the Band 3.
Host Sean “Diddy” Combs selected O’Day to be a member of the breakout girl group Danity Kane, which enjoyed mainstream commercial success before breaking up in 2009 and again in 2014. The group was best known for hits like “Damaged” and “Show Stopper.” O’Day dropped her first solo album in 2013, opening with the song — you guessed it — “DJT.” She’s also been on Broadway, playing Amber Von Tussle in Hairspray in 2008, and on the small screen, playing Tina in Killer Reality in 2013. After leaving Danity Kane for the first time, O’Day had a short-lived show on Oxygen, All About Aubrey. She’s currently a member of Dumblonde, a dance pop duo with her former bandmate Shannon Bex.
O’Day is also active on Twitter, where she has been outspoken against President Trump’s policies.
