This couple tied the knot at White Castle in a surprisingly elegant wedding
Locking down a wedding venue is a crucial first step when planning your big day. One couple made the unusual decision to have a White Castle wedding. Yes, they tied the knot at the fast food restaurant. And no, it was not as cheesy as you might imagine.
“We visited a Castle in my hometown that is near and dear to me for Whitney’s first White Castle trip,” said groom Adam (who is from Queens, New York) in a statement. “I decided to skip my regular order for this special occasion and ordered a little bit of everything for her to try. Right away, it was clear she would share the same cravings for White Castle, and she immediately fell for the Chicken Rings.”
Later, in July 2017, Adam proposed, and Whitney said “yes.” After driving around Nashville trying to find a place to celebrate, they managed to find themselves at a White Castle location yet again, and it was there that their fairytale White Castle wedding idea took shape.
Whitney came across a sign for White Castle’s Royal Wedding contest, so naturally they entered — and won. Last Sunday, March 11th, the couple was treated to a luxury “Royal Wedding” experience, complete with a rehearsal dinner and ceremony in Las Vegas.
Of course, instead of a stuffy sit-down dinner, all their guests relaxed and dined on the yummiest meals the White Castle menu has to offer. Plus, because the brand’s official Belgian waffle supplier is actually based in Belgium, the happy couple will fly there for their honeymoon and stay in a real castle.
The company says more than 75 White Castle weddings have taken place in the last decade, but Whitney and Adam are the first to marry at this Vegas location.
If this isn’t a winning way to say “I do,” then we don’t know what is.
