At this point, you almost definitely know what millennial pink is: it’s that soft pink shade that can be found literally everywhere (its hashtag has been used over 60,000 times on Instagram). While the origins of the name are still unclear, it’s hard to hate on this universally flattering color that makes everything aesthetically pleasing. In fact, it’s such a great color that it has even made its way to food. In the last few months, we’ve seen a Starbucks’s millennial pink latte, millennial pink donuts in London, and even millennial pink Kit-Kat bars. Now, there’s a new addiction: Hostess CupCakes has just released millennial pink cupcakes, and you need to know where to find it.
Okay, if we’re being honest, these new cupcakes aren’t actually called “millennial pink.” Hostess is referring to them as strawberry cupcakes, but let’s be real: that pretty shade can only be called one thing and that’s millennial pink, so that’s what we’ll be referring to them as. Anyway, the new strawberry cupcakes look amazing, and not just because they’re the perfect color for a beautiful Instagram shot. Strawberry is good, guys, and it’s the ideal flavor for welcoming spring weather.
Hostess has announced these new cupcakes on their Facebook page. They’re made of sweet strawberry cake, with a plain filling and pink icing. As with most good things in life, there’s just one catch: these will only be available for a limited time.
There’s no word on how long these will be on shelves, which means that if you see them, you need to snatch them up. So where can you buy them? You should be able to find the millennial pink cupcakes in most major food stores, like Walmart and ShopRite. Just head to your local grocery store to see if they’re in stock.
If millennial pink and strawberry aren’t your thing, don’t worry: Hostess has also released two other limited-edition flavors.
There’s mint chocolate, which are chocolate cupcakes made with mint filling and covered in green frosting. They sound incredible.
Then there’s sea salt caramel, a yellow cake filled with caramel, then topped with caramel frosting and sea salt. It’s definitely a sugar overload, but we’re okay with it.
If you’re salivating at the thought of these, don’t walk to stores — run. Remember, these won’t be available forever, and I don’t know about you, but I need to try them all.
