Today in things Donald Trump has said or tweeted to offend people: The President of the United States mistakenly spelled Marine Corps as “Marine Core,” making everyone – including veterans – question whether or not that’s what he legitimately thinks the Marine Corps are called.

Trump is currently visiting California, where he not only addressed the members of the military at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in San Diego, but he also floated the idea of a new “Space Force” to fight wars in space (we don’t make the news, we merely report it).

Afterwards, he tweeted about his visit – except it included a glaring spelling error that Twitter immediately noticed.

He later deleted the tweet, replacing it with one with the proper spelling. However, the damage was done and screen shots were taken.

While many mocked the president for making yet another spelling mistake, some veterans took offense.

And of course, some couldn’t help but bring up his multiple draft deferments during the Vietnam War.

This certainly isn’t the first time Trump has made a typo in a tweet. Who can forget when he tweeted “covfefe,” or when he typed “unpresidented” instead of unprecedented? He’s even spelled Alec Baldwin’s name wrong.

Remember when Trump said, “I know words. I have the best words?” Yeah, us too.
