So, Hillary Clinton just received a major co-sign from President Barack Obama and TBH, we wouldn’t blame her if she popped her collar after hearing what POTUS had to say about her presidential qualities. In June, Obama formally endorsed Clinton in a three-minute video that praised the former Secretary of State, saying, “I have seen her judgment, I’ve seen her toughness, I’ve seen her commitment to values up close.” But on Wednesday, the president took his #ImWithHer stance one bold step further when he told the Democratic National Convention audience that Clinton was even more qualified than he was to run the country.

How’s that for a compliment?

But that wasn’t all he had to say. Pres. Obama continued, letting everyone know that Clinton even outranked her own husband, former Pres. Bill Clinton, on the list of capable commanders-in-chief:

Afterwards, Obama made sure his declaration was OK with Bill Clinton, telling the former president, “I hope you don’t mind, Bill.”

We doubt he minds his wife being lauded by Obama, especially if it makes Bill the only person in history to ever be referred to as the nation’s “first gentleman.”

Given his knack for singing, we’re kind of surprised Obama didn’t contribute a note or two to “Our Fight Song,” the the patriotic musical ode that a ton of celebrities sang in support of Clinton.

But this speech, though? Golden.
