Theresa May has become the United Kingdom’s second female prime minister (after Margaret Thatcher), and today she was officially appointed by the Queen to her new position. And here is what her big day looked like.

Here’s May arriving at Buckingham Palace to meet the Queen like a boss.

Entering Buckingham Palace (with her husband Philip in tow) for a meeting with Queen Elizabeth II. Side note: those shoes! ❤️

Queen Elizabeth II welcomes Theresa, inviting the former Home Secretary to become Prime Minister and form a new government, and perhaps thinking, “Who run the world?!”

Look at that A+++ curtsey!!!

Saying “bye for now” to Buckingham Palace and heading towards her new, official residence, 10 Downing Street.

Here she is speaking outside 10 Downing Street for the first time.

And then being welcomed by the 10 Downing Street staff.

Congratulations on your first day on the job, Prime Minister!
