Google is dropping loads of bests as a part of its annual end-of-year roundup, and the most Googled songs of 2016 contain some of our faves, but also some pretty surprising jams. According to TIME, these ridiculously popular songs are the ones that have garnered the most attention on search for the longest periods of time over 2016. Naturally, Beyoncé topped the list of most searched songs of 2016, but we honestly and to look up some of the others.

TBH, we totally dig this kind of roundup. Looking at the songs we listened to most this year is such an *amazing* way of sort of putting the pulse on what we were into this year. Like, were we dancing all year long? Were we crying? Were we doing a solid mix of both? Just reviewing this list gave us ~all the feels~ and it was such a trip down memory lane!

So what were the most Googled songs of 2016?

1“Formation” by Beyoncé

2“Purple Rain” by Prince

3“Black Beatles” by Rae Sremmurd feat. Gucci Mane

“Panda” by Desiigner[/listheader]

5“One Dance” by Drake

6“Cake by the Ocean” by DNCE

7“Hello” by Adele

8“Lost Boy” by Ruth B
