Taylor Swift teased a new album at the 2018 AMAs, and please let this be real
Wait—did Taylor Swift say what we think she just said? The “Look What You Made Me Do” singer kicked some serious butt at the October 9th, 2018 AMAs. And though there was a lot for Swifties to get excited about (that opening performance, anyone?), we’re currently stuck on one specific thing Swift said—because it seemed to imply new music is already on its way.
The next chapter? As in the next album? Taylor, we’ve barely recovered from Reputation. But we’ll catch our breath later. Bring on TS7.
In case you missed it: Swift basically broke the 2018 AMAs. Not only did she open the show with a performance of “I Did Something Bad” (featuring her old pal, Snake), but Swift took home four awards, including Artist Of The Year and Best Pop/Rock Album for Reputation. Now, with 23 AMAs, Swift is officially the most-decorated AMAs female artist.
Swift also used her spotlight to urge her fans to vote in the 2018 midterm elections, following a recent Instagram post in which she shared her political views for the first time ever.
We’ll absolutely go vote, continue to listen to Reputation on repeat, and anxiously await a new T. Swift album.
