These days, we've all been wishing we could travel to an alternate universe, and with news of a secret Spice Girls reunion, we're taking a minute to transport to Spice World. On Sunday, Emma Bunton (aka Baby Spice) casually mentioned on her Sunday Heart FM radio show that the English pop girl group had reunited for a social-distanced hangout. Scary (Mel B.), Sporty (Melanie Chisholm), Ginger (Geri Halliwell), and Posh (Victoria Beckham) were all there.

"As things slowly, slowly start to get back to normal and we’ve all started to meet up with friends again haven’t we?" she said, according to InStyle. "Which is strange…I actually started to think I would never see them again…well unless it was on Zoom calls. And this week, yes, I finally got to meet up with Geri, Mel B, Mel C, and Victoria!"

Like us, you're probably picturing a grand party with synchronized choreography and at least one outburst of "I'll tell you what I want, what I really, really want." But it seems the whole affair was a bit more down to earth, literally.

"Now you may think we propped up a bar somewhere or had drinks in the garden, but no! We went on a social distancing walk in the woods, yes!” Bunton said.

Unfortunately, there's no picture of the outing, which means there's no iconic group pose complete with peace signs for our nostalgic hearts, but we can use our imagination. I mean, Sporty Spice was almost definitely wearing a tracksuit, right?

As far as future reunions go (which will hopefully include dancing, singing, and a camera crew) we don't have any specifics yet, but there's hope. Though Beckham opted out of the 2019 Spice Girls reunion tour, Mel C. told ET in June that she was doing "everything I can within my power to try and get all of us back on stage together."

The Sun also reports that a source close to Mel C. said a reunion tour is just what everyone needs—and we agree. “After all the coronavirus problems, there really needs to be something to look forward to and they want to take over 2021 with a tour,” the source said.
