It is a truth universally acknowledged that the Game of Thrones cast and crew absolutely cannot divulge spoilers via interviews or social media, unless they want to face exorbitant financial penalties. It is unclear, however, if they can spill by way of tattoos, because Sophie Turner’s latest ink may or may not be a major spoiler.

Earlier this week, Sydney-based tattoo artist Lauren Winzer shared one of her latest creations on her Instagram page — a Game of Thrones tattoo featuring the House of Stark dire wolf, paired with the words “the pack survives.” The quote is obviously lifted from a popular GoT line, “When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies but the pack survives.”

“First tattoo back home!” Winzer wrote on the caption. “Thank you so much for getting this from me @sophiet ! 🐺 bad ass !”

Fans were quick to populate the comments section, many going ballistic about the tattoo being a potential spoiler.

omg 😍 is this a spoiler?” one fan wrote. “That’s a spoiler I think, it’s mean all the rest of the Starks will survives😪” said another. “As the Dogs that acted as Direwolves in Game of Thrones we like that Sophie celebrated her roots! We remember working with her all the way back in season 1 🐺🐺” a point that another commenter made.

Now the tattoo might mean different things. For starters, it could suggest that the rest of the living Stark kids came out unscathed after the war we have yet to see. Then again, it could also just be Turner’s way of giving tribute to the show she spent almost a decade working on. If that’s the case, she’s certainly not alone: Emilia Clarke previously dished that she’s planning on getting a Game of Thrones tattoo to commemorate her time on the HBO show.

Whether Sophie Turner’s tattoo is a hint on what’s to come, we still have a whole year until we find out. Sigh.
