According to a July 19th Rolling Stone article, Rihanna is reportedly working on two separate albums. Eight sources connected to the singer claim that the first album pulls inspiration from reggae-centric and Caribbean dancehall music, and the second will likely be more pop-oriented.

The Bajan singer briefly touched on the possibility of a reggae album during her cover interview for Vogue‘s June 2018 issue. But up until now, Rihanna and her collaborators have remained mum about the potential new music.

"[Rihanna’s team] have, no lie, 500 records for this project [from] different producers and writers," one anonymous producer connected to the dancehall album told Rolling Stone"They’re only choosing 10 records. They’ve been having writing camps and trying to keep them quiet for almost a year and a half now."

Another source told the publication that “every artist, every producer, every songwriter in Jamaica or of Jamaican descent,” has put in work on this album, on which there are reportedly eight completed tracks. Sources stated that Rihanna’s team is currently thumbing through beat submissions on the hunt for the final track.

When the team finds a sample they like, they’ll tweak it and then get the final okay from the artist/producer who sent it in.

Rolling Stone has little info on the supposed pop album also coming our way, other than the fact that it’s still in production. Rihanna’s reps declined to comment on any of the above information.

While supposedly working on her secret albums, the singer and makeup guru is currently promoting her Savage x Fenty Lingerie line. She’s also recently appeared at several Fenty pop up events throughout the United Kingdom.

Makeup, music, and lingerie — is there anything our queen can’t do? And needless to say, we cannot wait to gobble up the ear candy Rihanna is serving.
