In today's edition of Reese Witherspoon Is Superwoman, the star is dipping her toes in a new kind of television show: reality music competition. As if producing and starring in three Emmy-nominated series this year wasn't enough, now, Witherspoon is adding a totally different project to her ridiculously impressive roster. The star's production company Hello Sunshine is teaming up with Apple for My Kind of Country, which marks the streaming service's first competition series.

On August 17th, Witherspoon announced the news on Instagram with an adorable pic of herself holding an acoustic guitar and a lengthy caption gushing about her excitement for the competition show.

In Reese's words, My Kind of Country will be "the search for extraordinary country music talent."

In her Instagram post, Witherspoon explained why My Kind of Country hits so close to home for her, writing, "Growing up in Nashville, Tennessee, country music has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. The history of songwriting and recording, the artistry of matching lyrics and chords, the true expression of what is happening to humanity right now... not to mention the dazzling stage performances that bring you to your feet!"

This is all taking us back to Witherspoon's role as June Carter Cash in Walk the Line (hello, Oscar nom). Since that iconic role way back in 2005, we haven't seen Reese dabble with music much, but the star seems super eager to get back to her country music roots. Several of Witherspoon's famous friends joined in on the excitement, like Halle Berry who simply commented, "LOVE," and AnnaSophia Robb who wrote, "Ahhhh omg I cant wait for this show!!!"

Mindy Kaling, on the other hand, wants to compete on My Kind of Country, and TBH, we'd definitely cast our votes for a one Miss Kaling, without even hearing her sing. (If voting is even a part of the show.)

The Hello Sunshine founder will executive produce alongside Masked Singer showrunner Izzie Pick Ibarra and country music manager Jason Owen. Meanwhile, Adam Blackstone, who serves as the musical director for stars like Justin Timberlake and Nicki Minaj, will serve as the show's musical director, too. It's unclear exactly what the format of the show will be, but we're ready to watch, regardless.

Between her production company, book club, acting roles, clothing line, parenting of adorable kids and pups, and now this news, we've officially decided: There's nothing Reese Witherspoon can't do.
