It’s widely known and accepted that the hit Netflix show The Crown is a historical adaptation, meaning there are occasional inaccuracies among the fact-based storylines. Some watchers, however, have found errors—including Queen Elizabeth herself. While the monarch has yet to outright confirm she’s seen the show, there are plenty of reports that indicate she’s not only tuned it, but she’s actually enjoyed it. For the most part.

This week, a new report emerged that despite Queen E’s cheery feelings toward The Crown in general, she was left very upset and angry at one scene in particular.

The scene in question features a young Prince Charles being bullied at his Scottish school, but Prince Philip is entirely unsympathetic to his son’s problems, insisting he attend the school and calling him “bloody weak” when Charles cries. To call it unfortunate to watch is an understatement. Here’s to hoping it is inaccurate after all, for Prince Charles’s sake.
