Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are still on their first royal tour—much to the delight of us royal aficionados. And while we’ve seen the pair dressed in their finest, most elegant ensembles over the past few weeks, the couple dressed way down for a recent appearance in Wellington, New Zealand. And of course, they slayed.
For their appearance in Wellington on Monday, October 29th, the couple met with young New Zealanders at Maranui Café to discuss mental health initiatives, a cause close to both of their hearts. Fashion blog Meghan’s Mirror reported that Markle wore a Club Monaco trench coat over a Jac and Jack turtleneck and Outland jeans, accessorizing with Stuart Weitzman lace-up boots and a loose ponytail.
Things got even more casual when they arrived at a nearby military terminal to board an Air Force NH90 helicopter to visit the Abel Tasman National Park, where they met with park staffers to discuss conservation efforts. Though they were greeted with some rain during their park visit, they looked adorably casual in sneakers, boots, and trousers, bundling up for the chilly wet weather.
Though the visit was cut short due to the weather, the duke and duchess were still able to tour the park grounds and have lunch, with Markle giving us rainy day outfit inspo for days. According to Meghan’s Mirror, she wore another black turtleneck, this time with black Outland jeans, adding a navy blue rain jacket and Stella McCartney x Adidas Grosgrain-Trimmed Faux Leather Sneakers.
She added a thick blue scarf and a low pony, proving that you don’t have to sacrifice style even when the weather doesn’t cooperate.
