Yo ho, Will Turner and "Pirates of the Caribbean" are coming back to Netflix next month
December 2017 was a very sad month for me, because Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl left Netflix. I can’t even remember how long it had been on the streaming service in the first place, but it had been there long enough that it sort of became a comfort movie for me. It was great background noise with the swashbuckling tale and epic score sweeping through my apartment as I cleaned my kitchen.
While yes, there is currently a Pirates movie on Netflix — Dead Men Tell No Tales — there’s not enough Will Turner in it for me (or probably anyone). So hey, here’s some good news, because in April 2018, one of the OG Pirates movies is finally coming back to Netflix, and all will (mostly) be right in the world again.
And since I guess I hit my legal viewing limit on Curse of the Black Pearl, the Pirates movie hitting Netflix on April 1st is actually the second one in the trilogy, Dead Man’s Chest. But that’s perfectly fine! This movie saw Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley) almost married, before they are pulled out on another epic adventure on the high seas to save Captain Jack Sparrow — but is he the one that actually needs saving?
This is just one of the many, many titles that will be hitting the streaming site next month. HelloGiggles will have a full list of titles on Tuesday, so be sure and check back here to see what you’re going to need to add to your watch list ASAP. Binging, ahoy!
