It’s official: Pop icon Pink just gave us yet another reason to love her. The singer stopped a show on her Beautiful Trauma tour to hug a 14-year-old girl who recently lost her mother. The heartwarming moment happened in Brisbane, Australia on August 21st; Pink was in the middle of performing when she spotted the girl, named Leah Murphy, in the crowd holding a sign that read, “I lost my beautiful Mum last month. I would LOVE a hug…Please!”

Once she spotted the sign, Pink stepped off stage and walked into the crowd to give Leah a long hug, then took a photo with her. Murphy talked about the hug to The Courier-Mail, saying, “She told me that I looked pretty. She said, ‘Oh, don’t cry.’ She said that everything was going to be okay. Then she signed my arm and we took a selfie. It meant everything. I was a dream come true.”

Leah’s late mom, Debbie, had been a huge Pink fan. She even purchased tickets to Pink’s July Sydney show but passed away in June. Leah said she and her mom bonded over Pink’s music, and she decided to go to the Brisbane show in her place. She said, “When mum bought tickets to Pink, she downloaded all of her songs and we would play it on the speaker really loud and dance and sing around the house. I also said to Pink how much my mum loved her.”

As Pink returned to the stage after the hug, she said to the audience, “Everyone, call your mom.”

Leah’s aunt, who was also at the concert, said the moment meant so much to her niece. “I haven’t seen her (Murphy) smile so much since,” she said. “We think her mum sent her a hug from heaven.”

We know this is a moment Leah—and Pink—will never forget.
