In a perfect world, we’d all be able to call Samantha Bee our ultimate best friend. She’s strong, she’s smart, she’s talented, and best of all, she’s not afraid to make really important points public. While we love watching Full Frontal With Samantha Bee on TBS, we also need to keep a strong eye on her Twitter account, especially during the election.

In case you missed it, Donald Trump said a few choice words a few days ago about Roger Ailes and sexual harassment. Previously, Ailes, the former chief of Fox, was under fire for harassing several women who worked at Fox News. When asked what he’d advise his daughter to do if she were in that situation, Trump gave a pretty disgusting quote.

“I would like to think she would find another career or find another company if that was the case,” he said.

So, in short — if someone harasses you and makes you feel uncomfortable, it’s your job to find another company, and let the attacker continue to pray on victims. It’s pretty obvious as to why people were turned off by this.

Samantha Bee, as always, had a pretty great comeback to this news that she posted on Twitter, linking in Trump’s son, Eric. In case you haven’t heard, Eric is a big fan of hunting large game, and has many “trophy photos” that feature him smiling proud with animal carcasses, some of which are actually endangered.

This jab pretty much summarizes a lot of news stories, including Trumps, which makes it seem like women who find themselves in awful situations must be “asking for it.” It’s just yet another example of victim shaming. She even followed up the tweet with a poll.

(As a spoiler, that poll last option is currently leading by 89%)

Women who’ve unfortunately dealt with work harassment before should really take offense at Trump’s words — when it happens, it puts you into a vulnerable and scary position. By leaving, it only gives the attacker more power, and more initiative to continue being inappropriate. It’s amazing that Bee can stand up for women, and also point out how harmful Trump’s views can be for women worldwide.
