Simone Biles, gravity-defying gymnast who won not one, not two, but FOUR gold medals and a bronze at the Olympics in Rio, carried the American flag during yesterday’s closing ceremony, naturally.

But the procession was briefly delayed for a pretty understandable reason.

So many Olympians wanted selfies with Simone that it caused a traffic jam!

Like you wouldn’t jump at that opportunity.

Mary Carillo, commentator for NBC, said there was a “conga line of people” waiting for selfies with Simone, and the closing ceremony was “Simone Selfie Central.”

Viewers at home loved watching so many star athletes get excited over the amazing gymnast.

And some of them were rightfully jealous.

So we can just imagine how thrilled the athletes were to get their selfies.

The Final Five do take the best selfies, after all.

But as Refinery29 already noted, the best #simoneselfie was taken last week, when Simone Biles and Simone Manuel, the first African-American to win a gold medal in an individual swimming event, posed for a picture together.

Women dominated in Rio, and we are in awe of Simone Biles and every other powerful athlete who competed!
