It’s almost the holidays, and love in the air!

A woman named Jessica proposed to her long-time girlfriend Chelsea at the Art Institute of Chicago — one of their favorite places — and the proposal was witnessed by a lady who freaked out — in a good way!

The lovebirds didn’t notice the lady at the time (they were too distracted by the whole getting engaged thing), but Jessica’s brother Carlos tweeted a photo of the special moment, and that’s when the lady came into view.

Okay, ready to see what we’re talking about?

Let’s take a closer look:

Public proposals often go viral, but (unfortunately) we still don’t always get to see such a pure and genuine show of sweet, authentic support for LGBT couples — so this story definitely deserves the attention its getting. The lady in pink had the most appropriate reaction to this perfect moment of love.

Carlos shares our sentiments on the significance of this proposal, also telling BuzzFeed that, “I am just so happy that a positive LGBT photo went viral. It’s not every day something like this has such [a] positive reaction to the general public.”

Jessica gave a comment as well, adding that she was happy with the reaction from this total stranger.

We wish Jessica and Chelsea all the best with their engagement and marriage! Love is love. Our hearts feel soooo full right now.
