We already knew that Jennifer Lopez would be taking the stage to accept her Video Vanguard Award and perform, but now there are even more reasons to watch the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards. The lineup of VMAs performers has been announced, and it sounds like this year’s show is going to be one of the network’s best yet.
MTV announced on August 9th that Nicki Minaj will be performing from a remote location during the VMAs, which we’re sure is going to be epic. Considering the fact that her new album, Queen, comes out today, August 10th, we know she’s got tons of new material to show off—and anytime Minaj performs, she never lets her fans down.
So who else will perform at the VMAs besides Minaj and Lopez? So far, the lineup includes Travis Scott, Post Malone, Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes, and Logic with Ryan Tedder—and MTV says it’s not even done announcing performers, meaning the list is even bigger.
We can’t imagine who else MTV could add to this list who could possibly make it more amazing. Beyoncé, maybe? A girl can dream.
If you’re already counting down the days until the VMAs air on August 20th, don’t worry—there are plenty of things you can do in the meantime to make the time pass faster. You can already vote for your faves at the VMA website, and you prepare by listening to Minaj’s songs on repeat, which is something we do anyway.
We can’t wait to see all of these performances. Quick question for you, Travis Scott: Are you planning on bringing Kylie Jenner and baby Stormi? We’re just saying that if they made a surprise appearance, we wouldn’t be mad.
