Mark Zuckerberg's house is apparently insane, and we want to live there, please
Mark Zuckerberg may be in hot water right now due to the #DeleteFacebook and Cambridge Analytica debacles, but even with Facebook’s stock plummeting, he’s still one of the richest people in the world. Zuckerberg is worth billions of dollars, so of course, his house is amazing.
Zuckerberg lives in Palo Alto, California, with his wife, Priscilla Chan, and their daughters Max and August, in a home he bought back in 2011 for $7 million. According to Business Insider, the home has five bedrooms and five bathrooms. And it kind of sounds like living in a day spa.
According to the realtor page from 2011, the home includes heated floors, a marble deep soaking tub, an outdoor pavilion with a fireplace, a spa, a breakfast bar in the kitchen, and a pond with a waterfall. Oh, and there’s a pool (of course). TAKE US THERE, NOW!
And since this is Mark Zuckerberg, it’s a smart home as well. When he first introduced the world to Jarvis, his custom-made artificially intelligent assistant, Zuckerberg posted a video from inside his home to Facebook.
This is probably the coolest part of the house, to be honest. In the video, you can see that Jarvis wakes up Zuckerberg’s daughter, Max, with a Mandarin lesson. The Facebook CEO also has a “T-shirt cannon” that shoots his standard grey t-shirt directly at him should he so choose.
Zuckerberg’s house is relatively low-key considering what it could be. However, that almost changed a few years ago — after purchasing his home in 2011, Zuckerberg spent $30 million purchasing the four houses surrounding his. In 2016, he submitted a plan to tear down and rebuild those homes in an effort to create more privacy for him and his family. Ultimately, Palo Alto’s Architectural Review Board denied the plan, and it never became a reality.
Still, a beautiful home in California with a pool, a pond, and those smart house functions? Invite, please!
