Sometimes in the speed and stress of our everyday lives, we can get a little careless with our safety. When we’re in a rush driving to work, maybe we make some lane changes or left turns that cut things a little closer than they should. Or perhaps while creeping along in traffic, we start texting or reading emails. But it is so important to remember that driving is dangerous, and it’s imperative to obey the rules, so we stay safe. Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark on Game of Thrones, posted a sobering reminder of how dangerous driving can be.

Maisie Williams posted this photo of her friend’s car overturned as an important safety reminder.

This image is so terrifying and we are relieved to hear that Maisie’s friend got out unharmed, but not everyone is as lucky. In 2015, 38,300 people were killed in motor vehicle accidents in 2015, and roughly 4.4 million sustained injuries. There is enough danger on the road that we shouldn’t do anything to further tempt fate.

It’s important to stick to safety rules while driving, even if it means we might take a little longer to get where we’re going.

Always better to play it safe!
