At this point, it’s probably easier to make a list of celebs who aren’t sporting a bob haircut. So many have gone under the shears in recent months that it’s truly getting tough to keep up. The latest celeb to try on a cropped bob for size? None other than Lucy Liu, who has been gradually going shorter with her strands for months, before debuting a blunt bob that hits just above her chin at an event in New York City on October 19th.

Short hair is definitely a bit of a departure for the Why Women Kill star, who has been known for her super long, super shiny locks ever since the early ’90s.

But the most fun part is that her new bob serves up ’90s vibes, so it’s kinda like her hair is coming full circle—and we’re into it.

For reference, here’s a shot of Liu getting her much-deserved star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame back in May:

Her hair inched past her shoulders as she posed for the cameras. This was right before she went short for the summer, then even shorter for the fall.

And here are a few stunning shots of her wavy, long bob, which she debuted in August:

And now, her new cropped bob, which hits right at her jawline and flips in, reminding us of the ’90s-inspired cuts that other celebs like Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian West have been serving lately.

Liu showed off her new ‘do on the red carpet at the Hudson River Park Gala in NYC, looking capital-S stunning in a vibrant red dress by Greta Constantine.

She then shared a close-up shot of her hair. Her caption notes that “this chic new cut by @_marcosantini1 is too good not to highlight,” crediting her longtime hairstylist Marco Santini for the crop.

We have to say, we fully agree. We love this look on her. Here’s hoping she had a blast on her big night out, and we can’t wait to see more of her chic cut.
