If you’re a die-hard Winter Olympics fan, then you might recognize Olympian Lindsey Jacobellis. Not only is she the most decorated woman in snowboard cross, but she’s competed at every Olympics since the sport made its debut in 2006. She’s only taken home one medal so far (a silver from Turin 2006), but she’s determined to win her first-ever Olympic gold medal. Will this year be the year? We certainly hope so.
However, she knows very well that a gold medal doesn’t define her.
Now that she’s back for another chance at redemption at the 2018 Winter Games, does she have a special someone to cheer her on in the stands? She certainly does, and he goes by the name of Adam Bakkedahl.
According to Heavy, Bakkedahl graduated from San Diego City College with a degree in marketing, and currently lives in California where he works as a real estate agent. He and Jacobellis have been linked since 2016.
Though the couple doesn’t show a lot of PDA, they’re definitely Instagram official.
In October, Jacobellis shared this adorable photo of them at a friend’s wedding.
Then there’s this one. Enough said…
Bakkedahl is also into sports, which is perfect for an Olympic athlete like Jacobellis.
Oh, and he likes taking photos of his girlfriend.
They’re pretty darn cute if you ask us. We’re sending Jacobellis all the luck in the world as she competes for Olympic gold on Thursday, February 15th!
