This weekend, LGBT rights advocates protested Donald Trump, and it was a pretty huge deal. ICYMI, Donald Trump’s record on LGBT issues is pretty iffy, but his cabinet is definitively anti-LGBT. Too, vice president Mike Pence is especially against LGBT rights, as he advocates for conversion therapy and against marriage equality. As a result, there were loads of supporters of the LGBT solidarity rally.

The LGBT solidarity rally took place outside of the historic Stonewall National Monument, and tons of people gathered to show their support.

The Facebook page for the rally was all about inclusivity, with the focus being on challenging the anti-LGBT cabinet and otherwise harmful policies.

"Join us in front of the Stonewall Inn as we stand in solidarity with every immigrant, asylum seeker, refugee and every person impacted by Donald Trump's illegal, immoral, unconstitutional and un-American executive orders. We will also speak out against Trump's selection of the most anti-LGBT nominees and appointees in modern history."

And it only gets better, because the event was hosted by Corey Johnson, the government official representing District 3 in the New York City Council. How cool is that?!

The signs for the rally were incredible.

And the presence of so many is so inspiring.

Nothing but love for these amazing people! You can show some love right back by supporting organizations that focus on uplifting LGBT youth.
