We came for Travis and stayed for Kylie. In Travis’s new music video for his song “Stop Trying to Be God,” Kylie Jenner made a guest appearance as Mother Mary? Mary Magdalene? An angel? The jury is still out on which religious figure Kylie portrayed, but whoever she is, she’s naked and drenched in gold because, well—she’s Kylie.

To be honest, we’re a little surprised that Kylie agreed to be featured in the “Stop Trying to Be God” video because she recently told GQ in a July 17th interview that she and Travis prefer to keep their personal and professional lives separate.

"For sure, I know he doesn't like the attention," Kylie told GQ. "That's why we just go the extra mile to keep our relationship super private, or like, if he has events or something, I won't come. Because I want him to do his own thing. I want him to be him. I don't want it to be Kylie and Trav. If people don't ever see us together, that's okay with me, because we just do our thing."

Although they usually keep their relationship out of the public eye, we’re glad Kylie and Travis broke their own rule and collaborated on this new video. They’re literally a match made in heaven.

The video itself, which has been viewed over 1.4 million times in under 24 hours, is chock full of religious iconography. From lambs (or sheep/sheeple depending on your interpretation) to a Monty Python-eque portrayal of God to Travis baptizing his followers in a public pool, we are intrigued and on board.

And we’re also fully on board with metallic Kylie (she’s wearing a gown by Italian brand, AMEN, in case you were wondering).

We understand that the couple likes to keep things private, but we could definitely get used to seeing more Travis and Kylie collaborations in the future.
