Kim Kardashian got real on Instagram on February 11th by sharing a surprising detail from the night she was robbed in Paris in 2016. Kardashian reflected on the incident and told the story of a sentimental diamond cross necklace that somehow escaped the grasps of the thieves and made its way back to her.

Kardashian shared a paparazzi photo from 2007, right after she bought the cross, though she has been photographed wearing it numerous times over the years. It seems the necklace means a great deal to her.

Kardashian was gagged and robbed at gunpoint in her hotel during Paris Fashion Week in October 2016 and lost nearly $10 million worth of jewelry. She has since spoken about how the incident changed her.

We’re happy that Kim was able to recover this meaningful piece of jewelry after her traumatic experience. It’s seems like kismet, or at least a bit of good luck.
