When someone we love suffers a loss like the death of a loved one, we send flowers. They are a cheerful and beautiful way to remind us of life even in the darkest of times. On January 31st, 2018, Khloé Kardashian announced that her beloved dog Gabbana passed away at age 14, and her boyfriend Tristan Thompson honored Gabbana’s life in the sweetest way by sending Khloé a beautiful flower arrangement shaped like a paw.

“Thank you baby for being so thoughtful,” Khloé wrote alongside a photo of the flowers. “This gorgeous arrangement brightened up my day! You are the sweetest my love!”

Khloé and her basketball beau split their time between Los Angeles and Cleveland, where Tristan plays for the Cavaliers, so we’re guessing the two were in separate cities when her dog passed away.

The entire Kardashian brood loves a luxe flower arrangement. When Kim Kardashian’s daughter Chicago was born, Khloé sent her sister flowers arranged to spell out “CHI.”

A lot of people were surprised to learn that Khloé had a dog. Fans of Keeping Up with the Kardashians would notice Gabbana milling around in the background of scenes and sometimes Gabbana would appear in an Instagram selfie with Khloé. Gabbana was actually the family dog, but when Kris and Caitlyn Jenner split, Khloé offered to take her.

“So when my mom and Bruce separated, I was immediately like, ‘Let me take Gabbana!'” Khloé shared on her website. “She was the family dog, and since Kendall and Kylie both moved out, I thought Gabbana was lonely. I wanted her to have a fun home again!!!”

When Khloé broke the news of her dog’s passing, she wrote a touching tribute to her longtime companion.

Khloe is lucky to have a supportive partner like Tristan who understands the special bond between a woman and her dog.
