Cancelled tour dates aren’t usually good news for anyone. That’s why we’re sad to hear that Kesha had to cancel some upcoming appearances— but she had a really good reason for doing so. While on the road, she suffered from an ACL tear in her knee.

The injury will affect her upcoming tour dates in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Taiwan, all which were set to take place in March and April. After chatting with Entertainment Tonight about the injury, a representative for Kesha said that she’d have to undergo surgery and rehabilitation before resuming her tour with Macklemore, called The Adventures of Kesha and Macklemore.

Kesha released her own statement on Instagram, writing how sorry she was that she had to move around the dates.

Kesha added that recovery is her top priority.

Ticketholders have been told to wait for further news, as Kesha seems set on rescheduling the dates for the future.

We Kesha takes all the time she needs. A torn ACL is a serious, painful injury — and we want to make sure her tour is filled with nothing but incredible memories.
