Update, March 6th: Well, it’s been confirmed—Katy Perry is indeed pregnant. Perry, who dropped her single “Never Worn White” yesterday, March 5th, didn’t actually mean to be so cryptic about her pregnancy after the song’s drop. However, after realizing fans were still kind of confused as to what was actually what, she called into Sirius XM Hots 1 to clear the air.

She first told host Mikey Piff, per Vulture, that “Never Worn White” wasn’t supposed to be lead single off her upcoming sixth album. But Perry said, “I was getting way too fat to hide it, so I was like, ‘Well, I think this song will be a great reveal!’”

“I actually put the news on a wine label,” Perry said of how she spread the word that she and Orlando Bloom are expecting. She explained that she would bring the bottle with the “bespoke label” to dinners or give it as a gift. “And then they would get the reaction later,” she said.

However, mother always knows best. While visiting recently, Perry explained that, for whatever reason, her mother made a beeline to her wine stash before Perry could set up the joke. Mom saw the label right away and flipped.

“Well, you ruined the surprise,” Perry told her mother. LOL.

Now that we know the facts, we can officially give Perry and Bloom massive congratulations. As she wrote on social media, summer is definitely going to be “jam packed.”

Original Post, March 5th: Katy Perry and fiancé Orlando Bloom are expecting—at least that’s what we have been all led to believe after Perry dropped her latest music video for “Never Worn White.” The singer revealed a baby bump toward the end of her video and then sent out a few somewhat cryptic tweets pointing to the fact that she’s on her way to motherhood. Then again, she may just be using pregnancy for a creative metaphor…right?

Last night, March 4th, Perry dropped the video for her latest single “Never Worn White,” a song about her upcoming marriage to actor Orlando Bloom. The pair got engaged on Valentine’s Day 2019 and are now preparing for married life together (as well as potential parenthood).

In the last shot of the video for the love ballad, in which Perry sings about her hopes and fears of being Bloom’s life partner, Perry caresses a baby bump—which, sure, could be a metaphor for womanhood/motherhood/etc., but it looks pretty dang real to us.

After the video went live, Perry posted an announcement Instagram with the caption, “Let’s just say it’s gonna be a jam packed summer…” And, could that mean life will be busy because she’ll be caring for a bouncing lil baby?

She then took to Twitter to deepen the not-so-mysterious mystery:

Again, Perry has not outwardly confirmed that she is, in fact, pregnant. But all signs point to the fact that there’s a baby on the way. Baby Bloom would be Perry’s first child and Bloom’s second—he shares son Flynn with model Miranda Kerr.

If the rumors are true, then we said massive congratulations to Perry and Bloom. And if this whole thing was just a ruse, then we also congratulate Perry for pulling off a pretty great prank.
