Kate Middleton made an unexpected wardrobe choice, and we love that she's taking risks
In recent months, all eyes have been on Meghan Markle as she prepares to join the monarchy — everything from her hair to the way she holds her bag has been scrutinized as the world awaits the royal wedding. But now Kate Middleton has turned our heads again, thanks to her unexpected ensemble choice during a black-tie dinner in Sweden. The usually understated future Queen of England made jaws drop with a bold, beautiful new dress.
Princess Kate certainly has plenty of opportunities to dress up, but it’s rare to see her wearing brightly colored dresses, much less one with a print. She favors pale shades with classic silhouettes, especially for formal appearances. Is she taking a cue from Meghan Markle’s book and mixing it up a bit? Whatever her inspiration, we love it.
The yellow floral gown by British designer Erdem stole the show at the black-tie dinner with the Swedish Prime Minister. We love that Kate isn’t afraid to wear a bold print while pregnant. Prince William and Princess Kate are just starting out their royal tour of Sweden, and we’re excited to see what other outfits she will be debuting on her visit.
It doesn’t get much better than Kate Middleton’s gorgeous Erdem gown, if you ask us.
We can only imagine that the “RepliKates” are hard at work trying to find a Zara equivalent, and we don’t blame them. This might just go down as one of her most iconic dress choices.
This new generation of royal women is in it to change the monarchy’s fashion game.
Spring will be here shortly, and you better believe that we’re going to need a similar dress once the sun starts shining. This is an example of how bright colors, unexpected silhouettes, and creative details can enhance a dress and make it a showstopper.
