Kate Middleton is officially back from maternity leave. The Duchess of Cambridge stepped out at the Sayers Croft Trust Forest School and Wildlife Garden in London. The organization “gives inner city children a unique opportunity to learn about and engage with the natural world,” Kensington Palace tweeted.

For her first royal engagement since the birth of Prince Louis in April, Kate wore a chic, outdoorsy look. More specifically, we’re eyeing her brown jeans that are the perfect fall staple. And get this: Those babies are from Zara, and they retail for only $39.90. Your mind isn’t playing tricks on you either. Kate’s jeans are seriously under $40.

Here’s a closer look at Kate’s affordable jeans:

We love a thrifty duchess. While Kate’s love of British designer Alexander McQueen is well-documented, she’s also known to rock more affordable brands like Zara and J.Crew.

The Duchess of Cambridge paired her Zara jeans with an olive-toned coat, a matching sweater, and brown knee-length boots.

At the event with Sayers Croft Trust, Kate joined school children to garden, insect hunt, and enjoy the great outdoors. Kensington Palace shared a sweet video of Kate making leaf crowns, writing, “The Duchess sees an example of the positive impact @SCTrust’s activities have on children’s emotional and physical wellbeing.”

The Duchess of Cambridge also joined students for a round of story time.

We just might have to emulate Kate’s effortless nature lewk while at a pumpkin patch this fall. Zara is still stocking the zippered jeans, too.

We’re loving the topstitching details above the knees.

Kate actually rocked those jeans and boots at an event in Gloucester, England in May 2017. Since they’re a staple in her closet, we’re adding these to our shopping carts, stat.
