If you follow Kardashian-Jenner news (or just have access to the internet), you’ve more than likely heard at least something about the current Khloé Kardashian/Tristan Thompson/Jordyn Woods situation. For those who somehow missed it, here are the basics: News broke on Tuesday, February 19th, that Jordyn Woods—Kylie Jenner’s best friend and roommate—was spotted kissing Tristan Thompson (the father of Khloé’s daughter) at his house party. Jordyn reportedly was kicked out of Kylie’s house shortly thereafter, and sources indicate that tension is extremely high between her and the famous family.
On March 1st, Jordyn appeared on Jada Pinkett Smith’s Facebook show Red Table Talk to share her side of the story and help smooth things out with Khloé and the Kardashians (Jordan’s family and the Smiths have been close for over two decades, so this was a topic close to Jada’s heart). In the candid interview, Jordyn admitted to going back to Tristan’s home with a group of friends after an evening of clubbing, and said that he kissed her after a night of flirty behavior. However, she firmly asserted that nothing more than that happened, and that they were never even alone in a room together that night. She also revealed that she did, in fact, omit the details of the kiss when talking to Kylie and Khloé the next day, admitting that she was scared. She also noted that she was drunk when the events took place, but was never “beyond recollection” or blackout.
However, Khloé isn’t here for this narrative, posting about it in real time on her Twitter account.
And Twitter has LOTS of opinions on the situation.
Firstly, there were the people (like us) who felt 100% compelled to watch the interview, despite it being the middle of a work day:
Some feel that, yes, Jordyn made a mistake—but a lot of people have been there and it’s actually pretty relatable.
And many people are pointing out that, yes, Jordyn screwed up, but she’s 21, there was alcohol involved, and Tristan Thompson is the (serial) cheater who betrayed the mother of his child. So, um, maybe we should be talking more about him right now.
Khloé soon addressed some of the backlash, noting that her issue isn’t that Jordyn is solely to blame—it’s that she’s discussing it publicly. (Hm.)
