Our hearts go out to Jonah Hill and his family. After Jonah’s brother Jordan Feldstein suddenly passed away in December 2017, his cause of death has finally been revealed.

Feldstein, who was well-known in the music industry, was only 40 at the time of his passing. He managed Maroon 5, with Billboard linking him to the popular band for the last 15 years. He was also listed as both the CEO and founder of Career Artist Management, where he worked closely with artists like Miguel and Elle King. According to Billboard, Feldstein also had a big part in getting Adam Levine his role as a judge on The Voice.

While reports initially indicated that Feldstein died of a heart attack, it now seems as though his official cause of death is a pulmonary thromboembolism, meaning there was a blood clot that clogged at least one of the arteries in his lungs. Feldstein also had deep leg vein thrombosis, which happens when a blood clot forms in a deep vein — often in the leg. Pneumonia was also listed as a contributing factor to his fatal condition.

Feldstein’s death was originally reported on December 23rd, 2017, after he went into cardiac arrest at home.

At the time of his passing, many celebrities in the industry paid their respects to Feldstein.

Losing a family member is an incredibly difficult experience, and we’re sending love to both Jonah Hill and his family as they continue to navigate this difficult time.
