Even back in the beginning of his career, it was clear that Jeff Goldblum was one-of-a-kind. And many decades later, he’s only gotten better and better. Like a fine wine, he’s aged into the best version of himself, which is almost a parody of himself. But not like a parody that’s funny, because he’s way too cool and oozes sex appeal with every “uhhh” that you wouldn’t dare laugh at him. He just has this ineffable quality that makes watching Goldblum make soup for 12 minutes feel like the best 12 minutes of your week.
And to top it all off, he makes some of the sexiest jazz music known to man. Every week, he puts on a show in Los Angeles called Jeff Goldblum and the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra. And just when you think he can’t get any cooler, he randomly meets up with Quavo from Migos and snaps a high fashion pic at Yves Saint Laurent. That photo was already enough to make it onto my vision board, but now Goldblum has to one-up himself and suggest that he wants to collaborate with Migos. Honestly, I don’t think the world is ready for that kind of pure musical perfection, but yeah, let’s make it happen anyway!
“I loved meeting him! We were shopping and we started to talk and took some pictures together and I, I, I was very thrilled to meet him,” Goldblum told Vice. “Mhm. Oh my gosh, I’d be thrilled to do any, any little thing with him and them. Yeah that would be a lot of fun. It could go anywhere! That’s a great idea.”
Thankfully Vice transcribed his answer verbatim, because without all those “I, I, I’s” and “mhm’s” and repeated words, there would be no way to verify that Goldblum actually said that. Now that we have our confirmation that he’s officially into the idea of a Migos-Goldblum collaboration, someone needs to get on this, stat. I can’t bear to live in a world where I’ve heard the idea of a Migos-Goldblum collaboration that never actually happens.
