Dementors come in all shapes in sizes. Sometimes, they’re the magical horrors that author J.K. Rowling depicts in the Harry Potter series, or, they’re our own personal demons, signifying our inner struggles, not always tangible but very real.

For the fan that reached out to J.K. Rowling on Monday via Twitter, it was the latter. It seemed this particular fan was struggling with feeling sad, so they asked for advice from the one person they knew could help, and she did not disappoint.

Rowling’s response?

There is so much good J.K. Rowling’s tweet. She reminds us (among other things) that it’s so important to ask for help, when we need it. We are all worthy of living our best life. After she posted this tweet, other fans jumped in with their own words of support. Turns out, we all have our own dementors, and the best way to fight them is to talk about them.
