Another day, another TikTok to watch on repeat. We’re all for the impressive dance sequences and pets doing tricks on TikTok, but this video is totally unique. Two TikTok users (and mega Harry Potter fans) imagined what Hogwarts fashion would look like through the past 10 decades—from 1910 to 2020. Both fans dressed head-to-toe in Hogwarts outfits fitting for each decade of fashion. Even Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling herself approved. Now that’s when you know you’re doing something right.

The original TikTok was posted by user @hobbitparty and retweeted by Film Feed. However, an extended version of the video (including women’s Hogwarts fashion) was posted to YouTube under the account Michael and Hayley.

J.K. Rowling retweeted Film Feed’s tweet of the TikTok and gave her seal of approval by simply writing, “I loled.”

Can you believe the amount of Hogwarts merchandise this fan owns? Plus, he clearly prioritized paying homage to each house, which is quite generous. (We’d be sporting solely Gryffindor merch if this was our video.) His outfits are all tailored perfectly to each decade, and we’d honestly wear that ’80s bomber jacket any day.

However, the real magic is in the YouTube video. There, we see male and female Hogwarts uniforms side by side for each decade. The women’s fashion goes through more drastic changes than her male peer, and we love every single outfit. Check it out below.

We’re seriously impressed by the creativity and attention to detail. Even Hayley’s hairstyles reflect the decade’s style. That tight bun and tiny side hat for the 1940s? Perfection. The 1960s pencil skirt and blazer pairing is serving Rita Skeeter vibes, and we want to wear those ’70s bell bottom jeans, STAT. After years of fancy skirts and heels for Hayley and sweater vests for Michael, the pair rounds out their Hogwarts fashion with sweatpants and sweatshirts for 2020. This is far too relatable, but, more importantly, we want Hayley’s cropped Hufflepuff sweatshirt.

Don’t worry: We found her 2020 Hogwarts sweatshirt on Etsy.

Choose between the four Hogwarts houses—Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, Slytherin, or Ravenclaw—for a custom cropped sweatshirt that even includes a house crest.

The Micheal and Hayley YouTube channel offers plenty of other Harry Potter-themed videos, with titles like “Every Spell Location at Diagon Alley” and “Hagrid’s Umbrella Unboxing from Noble Collection.” Get in the Harry Potter spirit with their videos, or just binge the entire series this week. We all have time to do so, after all.
