Halsey will apparently play a (very) familiar face in the upcoming A Star Is Born
We’ve already heard so many good things about the soon-to-be-released film A Star Is Born. The remake of the 1937 (and later 1954, and even later 1976) Hollywood drama stars Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga in the lead roles. And if the casting isn’t enough to put your butt in a movie theater seat come October 5th, we just found out that another real-life star make a cameo: Halsey.
On September 5th, the “Alone” singer announced on Twitter that she has “a little cameo” in the upcoming film. TBH, we’re peeved we didn’t know about this cameo until now. But it’s better late than never, right?
"I guess now is a good time to finally tell you guys that I have a little cameo in A Star Is Born!" Halsey tweeted. "Thank you so so much to Gaga and Bradley for including me. It was an honor to watch both of your talent and dedication on set. an all time life highlight for me for sure."
Halsey then followed up by revealing she plays herself in the film: “Which is insane because it means Gaga and Bradley saw me worthy of representing a piece of the current state of music in this film forever,” she tweeted in a separate post. “They could have picked any artist. It was so humbling and unreal.”
Cooper, who also co-wrote and makes his directorial debut with the remake, plays a country star struggling with addiction who falls for an up-and-coming songstress, played by Gaga. With the plot firmly set in the music industry, we’re hoping we see Halsey on stage somewhere during the film.
Add this to yet another reason we can’t wait to see A Star Is Born come October 5th.
